Inspired by the timeless allure of iconic figures like Liz Taylor, Richard Burton, and Jim Morrison at the enchanting Hotel Playa Hermosa, this collection is a tribute to an era of indulgent romance and artistic flair.
The Legend of San Blas captures the essence of its namesake—a place suspended in time amid decaying splendour. Binny's founder and designer, Belinda Watson, was captivated by the charm of San Blas' weathered yet mesmerizing allure. This collection draws profound inspiration from a recent visit to the Frida Kahlo exhibition at The Art Gallery of South Australia and the associated vibrant installations at the iconic Adelaide Central Market. Binny's seasonal collections are an eternal love letter to South Australia, and staying true to this sentiment, the SS24 campaign was beautifully captured at the Adelaide Central Market and Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
Featuring luxurious, breathable fabrics such as Australian cotton and linen viscose, ideal for the warm Australian climate, the SS24 collection embraces elements reminiscent of beautiful hand-painted tiles, vintage hotel signs, and an iconic sunken pool bar. These details reflect the untamed beauty of Mexico's famed beaches like Rio Nexpa, Zipolite, and Puerto Escondido, marrying the wildness of the landscapes with the refined textures of the fabrics.
